Ganesh Acharya is a choreographer, film director, and actor who prominently works in Bollywood. In a career spanning over 25 years, Ganesh Acharya has choreographed the dance sequences in around 200 films, besides directing and acting in a few. The son of yesteryear dancer and choreographer Krishna Gopi, Ganesh started his own dance group at the age of 12 and was just 19 when he debuted as a choreographer. He won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for his work on the songs “Hawan Kund” from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) and “Gori Tu Laath Maar” from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017). At the 61st Filmfare Awards, he was nominated Best Choreographer for his song “Malhaari” from Bajirao Mastani (2015). Ganesh started his career by working as an assistant, then founding his own dance company at 12.
